Will the time I submitted my application affect my chances of being successful in the lottery?

It will make no difference whether you applied earlier or later in the application period. Every valid application submitted by Tuesday 12 December 2023 at 14:00 CET will have the same chance of being successful in the lottery.

Now that the application period has ended, all valid applications will go into a lottery, irrespective of when they were submitted during the application period.
