Here are the key dates for the European Qualifiers:
October 2022: Qualifying draw. 53 teams are divided into seven groups of five and three groups of six.
March to November 2023: Qualifying matches for UEFA EURO 2024 are played.
2 December 2023: Final tournament draw. The 20 qualified teams + Germany* + the 3 remaining teams (that will qualify through the play-offs) are divided into six groups of four.
21 to 26 March 2024: Play-offs take place to determine the three remaining teams.
*As the host country, Germany is automatically qualified.
